TPP played an important role in nurturing my early formation as an educator and helped incite a passion to pursue teaching as a profession. Since leaving Princeton I've had the privilege of teaching in several countries and in my current role as a consultant I work with educators from around the globe. These professional contacts and experiences have helped shape my view that our education system should focus on nurturing essential skills that will help students become successful global citizens in a digital age.

Tom taught history in U.S./international schools for 15 years and then led an education technology professional services company, EdTechTeacher, for 14 years. Over the past 25 years, he has worked with more than 10,000 educators in schools and educational organizations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. Tom is a former independent school teacher in Canada, France, Switzerland, and the United States and currently resides in Medellin, Colombia.

Tom's new book “AI Tools & Uses: A Practical Guide For Teachers” is now available at Amazon (digital or paperback). This groundbreaking book is the first of its kind to be organized by K-12 subject areas and teaching responsibilities and offers unprecedented depth and specificity for teachers. Unlike other AI in education books focusing on broad concepts, this guide delivers extensive, detailed analyses of AI tools, including both subject-specific tools and versatile platforms that can be leveraged across disciplines. It provides teachers with pointed recommendations based on extensive reviews of an unparalleled range of AI tools for education.
