After graduation, I worked at a nonprofit in NYC through Project 55 and then was a nanny for a year. After moving to Philadelphia, I taught at a KIPP elementary school for two years and then began teaching at Greene Street Friends School, a small independent Quaker school in Philadelphia. I taught 5th grade for a year and then switched to 2nd grade. I am currently in my second year of teaching 2nd grade, and I am the "cluster coordinator" for the 1st and 2nd grade teaching clusters or teams. Last summer I earned my reading specialist degree (M.S.Ed.) through St. Joseph's University. I also earned my Wilson Reading System certification, and I use that training to tutor students with dyslexia.
