Bryan Respass ’97 teaches computer science at the Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, NJ.  He previously taught middle school math for 8 years in Leonia, NJ.  He has a Masters degree in school leadership from New Jersey City University.

He is passionate about encouraging all students, particularly middle school and high school girls, to pursue computer science and technical studies.

Together with BCA girls, Bryan runs the T.E.C.H. (Technology, Engineering, and Coding for Her) Camp for middle school girls.  Their hope is to excite rising 7th and 8th grade girls about technology and encourage them to pursue engineering and computer science!  At T.E.C.H. camp, students participate in four classes of their choosing (like programming, 3d printing, web page creation, and Arduinos).  All classes are all taught by young women from the Bergen County Academies and supervised by BCA teachers.  They work their hardest to empower other women who we might kindle passion for technology and innovation.
