Jacqueline L. Swain began working at Princeton University in 1965 following graduation from Rider College. Before coming to the Program in Teacher Preparation in August of 1969, Jacqui worked in the now defunct Biochemistry Dept., the Office of Project and Research Administration, and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.

Jacqui has been in the office for well over forty years and has worked with four of its five directors on every aspect of the Program’s operation. Jacqui has seen the work of the program grow from being a small teacher placement office to the program it is today. Jacqui provides support for teacher preparation and certification, and previously, the Princeton University Preparatory Program.

Jacqui has one grown daughter and lives in Princeton. Prior to coming to Princeton University she sang professionally with a local group called the Rosebuds. She has sung with many groups, choirs, ensembles and chorales. She is still a soloist in a church choir. Jacqui is a commissioner for the Princeton Housing Authority, and is involved with several civic and community organizations. She enjoys reading, writing and meeting new people.
